Help with P0430

Hey guys,

I did some digging on here. I just got to the library and my freakin' CEL came on I pulled up the code my my Gryphon and it said the P0430 with the bank 2 etc. I looked into it in a bunch of threads on here and I pretty much have no idea what it could be because it seems there are so many things it could be. I bought the truck in Feb 09 with 362xx on it, now just below 59k. Its a 2004 5.4 3V ext cab 2wd. Mods are Gryphon on canned 93, DWV intake with amsoil filter, 2x 94106 maggie hi flows, into 14" maggie si/do. Plugs are original and I don't know of any engine maintenance done. I was planning new plugs and TB cleaning in a few weeks once I got out for winter break. Eventually Tranny fluid change in spring. IS this a serious problem to keep using it (don't really have a choice)? Could I have a bad injector? I am really nervous now as I have to keep using the truck since I work 7 days a week and go to school 5 days a week. When it goes in, I should have access to a car, but I'm concerned my mods may be to blame or that it's gonna be a huge problem I can't afford to fix without help.

Any idea guys/gals?

Ps, MC 5w20 and fl820s filter since I've owned it each oil change. Changed fuel filter with MC this summer as well. Was also done when I first bought it.

DTCs P0420/P0430 indicate that catalyst efficiency is below predetermined thresholds on cylinder banks 1 and 2, respectively.

Might have to do with the new high flow cats and the location of the oxygen sensors

My long tube headers with resonators set off the P0430 and P0420

Have your tunes set so that the rear o2 sensors are turned off, not sure on if it will fix it but maybe it will.

Also, it doesn't have any effect on driving or how the truck performs/mileage etc;

I had the cats done 4/1/2010, but I was custom tuned until the end of September when I switched to the canned 93 because there was a mistake in my 87 performance. The code may have been shutoff

I am guessing that must be it. Will probably show up after a couple hard runs or city driving, just clear the codes and get your tune worked out. Should be fine

I'm thinking it might be man, the truck drives the way it always has since they were done... no change that I've seen. It just popped on earlier today, caught me off gaurd
