5.0 questions

I just got a 94 f150 2wd pickup with a 5.0, it has 221000 miles and is tired i'm going to buy a new long block engine for it but was wondering what i could do as far as getting some more torque out of it. I will be hauling a car trailer with a 3000lb car on it, probably up to 10 times a year. Also i was interested in what it would take to put a 5.8l in it. If anybody has any info i would appreciated it. I have already planned on putting some gears in it. Oh yeah its an automatic.

I'd swap a 5.8 in there. That would be a big improvement and wouldnt be that hard..

exhaust manifolds would mate up different so you would need to modify that. EFI I would think most everything is plug and play. Dont know about the computer and all. Maybe some one who has experience with doing that swap will speak up..
