Part Identification Help

Hello folks. This is for a 1999 f150 lariat.

I have been having a rough/low RPM idle problem, and a search of the board tells me that one of the main things it could be is a vacuum leak. So I am tracing all my houses.

What is this part that is being pointed out in the photo below? Is that the EGR valve?

The hose sit on it REAL loose and I can feel air whooshing in around the sides. I was wondering if this was perhaps my vacuum leak.

Thanks.

PCV valve.

And "yes" is the answer to your other question..

Replace valve w/motorcraft part ONLY (not a substitute).

You can replace the PCV system lines at Ford and as a package. Order or purchase everything. The package is between $39-$59. Since it's a 99, you need ALL PCV system hose replaced. Their to old.
