I have an '05 with a 5.4. I had noticed a noise and after alot of research I belive it to be the cam phaser. Im hearing that its a problem in 04 and 05 5.4If it is the cam phaser the repair is around $1500. Will it get worse and/or cause any irrepaiable damage to my engine if I dont get it fixed soon or not at all. Please advise.

Look up TSB 06 19 08. At least that's what I think it is. My old mans truck had the infamous cam phaser tick, and I think that the above mentioned TSB is the correct one.
