coil packs?

got 66k miles on my truck and wondering if I should replace the coil packs when I change the plugs, also was thinking of going with the e3 plugs since there cheaper than the motorcraft ones. any advice?

The E3 plug is a little more $ than Motorcraft, depending on where you get them

Yea, -stay away from the E3 Plugs for now, - unless you want to be a guinea pig and take the risk, - its your vehicle.

Your engine doesn't use coil packs, you have coils for that engine which are fine. Just change the plugs and use the updated OEM spec plugs. Best advice you can get IMO, take it.

well I drive my truck everyday, so maybe I just might be up to trying the e3's and see how they do. I'm more worried about removing the stock plugs than anything else. As for the price difference,9.95 each for the e3's and 19.95 for the MC sp507's.

Depends on the dealer.. I have a really crappy dealer here in Salt Lake. Larry Miller Ford is the main parts warehouse and they are crooks. I went to get a PVC valve for my 99 f150 and they wanted 15 bucks for it Rock Auto sells the for about $4 Same deal with plugs 13 bucks each for the plugs for my truck Rock Auto sells them for less then $4 I bought my heater core hoses there had to have them they were over $200 for both of them. I hate them..
