5.4 rough idle problem

Hey all,
I have an 04 5.4 in my f150. Yesterday I stopped at a red light and the truck shook pretty badly while at a complete stop. A few minutes later my check engine light came on. I ran a diagnostic which came up as PO345, cam shaft position sensor malfunction. I replaced the sensor and the light turned off, but it really doesn't explain the rattling. I am thinking probably the cam phasers but i am no expert. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The rattling has now stopped but there is now a ticking noise that is not quite in sync with the rest of the engine noise. The check engine light has not come back on but something doenst quite sound right in the engine compartment.

how many miles on it? Possibly cam phasers?

My motor developed a tick sporadically at 147K miles - 2 miles later the engine died. I'm in the processes of replacing it now.
