update

Well I used the Timesert system tonight and can't say enough good things about it. The process went just like the video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2opNGDKGdkQ. This kit is a great design and well built. The only thing I would add is a note about the ream. If you watch the video you will notice a quick drop right at the very end. I thought I was done, but the tap would not start. I put the ream back in and after a little turning, it dropped the last bit just like the video. A air ratchet was used for the first two cutting tools and hand ratchet for the last steps.

There is a second video of the job being done on a actual truck http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTmDTT3a6U0 that has a great tip. Shove a rubber hose in the hole and crank the engine with your thumb over the end of hose. When you feel it blow out, you are on compression and the valves are closed. Bump the engine a little more and you will feel it draw. This means the piston has started down (away from cutting tools). This is very important because the tool could hit a valve if they are open.

If any of you have this issue or just worry about having this issue, get this tool. This one is going in my truck since I travel.
