this site rocks, I went to change my fuel filter today and i am having trouble removing the fuel line towards the front of the truck. The rear line came off no prob, but the front side wtf. I bought the sissor tool for 5/16 and 3/8 line and i cant get the line off !!!!! what am i missing here is there a better tool out there if so where can i get one ? Its on a 2008 5.4 F 150 any help would be great !!!

 

I would think the front fitting would catch alot more road junk than the back. That being said, maybe spray into the fitting where the tool goes with WD-40 to flush it and maybe spin the filter a little. They work like air compressor fittings, so it's probably just dirty.

 

yea thats kinda what i thought, i sparyed it with pb blaster and let it soak for awhile i can spin the filter and the locking tabs but i just cant get it to release!!!! I will keep trying, it is not going to beat me i will win in the end somehow !!!!
