After reading yer post several times, it sounds more like the torque converter is not unlocking. Kinda like driving with a clutch/manual but not pushing the clutch in to stop. I'd suggest putting the factory tune back in it and give it a try.

That actually makes alot of sense! I can see how that would cause it, but does the fact that it isnt consistent have anything to do with it? I am pretty sure I am going to ditch my edge and go with an xcal or something better for my truck asap. Especially because all I use the edge for is seeing my MPG's. I am going the complete wrong direction to be worried about those anyways

Look at what Ford and Ford racing run (think I said that to you before). There's no way they would run THAT element in their engines. All those posts about dirt in the intake are true, -I found what looked like grains of sand. In-turn, that will score your cylinder walls and pistons.
Well, since you mentioned the dirt in the intake thing a couple of days ago, I have been researching different filter options for my truck. As far as I know, the only other filter I have seen installed in a procharged truck (my year model or body style) has been a S&B filter. Even this one is oiled so I dont really know where I would get a dry filter. Its S&B part # R1162 if you want to check it out.
NacsMXer has this filter installed on his truck.

I would just run the Amsoil filter myself. Ask Jeremy (Taj) what he runs. I would.

I am pretty sure he is running a HUGE K&N on a MAD's intake duct. I will PM him again to see what he says.

That would suck if you didn't have a choice.

I just can't support oiled elements since mine let that dirt in. I have a Volant box and filter I haven't tried yet lol.

Well.. just a little update:

It seems as though Labnerd was 100% correct. I returned the tune to stock and I have had 0 problems over the past few days since I changed it. I am not sure why the tune was making the torque converter remain locked, but its all good now . I appreciate everyone's suggestions/help/etc.

Help neeeded.

Well, my excitement from my truck not stalling out was short lived. I set my truck back to stock tuning from the edge and still no dice. I have completely removed the edge, and cant for the life of me figure out why its stalling out. The rpm's will drop down really low(350-500rpms) when I come to an idle and it would seem as though it downshifts and the rpms shoot back up momentarily (800-1000rpms)and then it just dies. For anyone who is looking at this and dont know what I am running, I have a 1998 4.6 with a procharger.

I just installed a 255lph Walbro high performance in-tank fuel pump, and it did nothing at all to get rid of the stalling issue (not that I was thinking it would). My fuel filter is in brand new condition and I blew threw it today to see if maybe it could be messed up somehow and it is 100% fine. I don't know what to do to it to get it to run right. It has brand new plugs and wires, a whole procharger system that I completely cleaned up and bought new gaskets and pieces for before I installed it that are barely a month old. The truck will idle fine all day long, but if I am driving down the road and come up to a stop sign then it seems like it has to search for the idle speed and when it cant find it.. it just dies. I haven't been driving it as of recent because I cant get it to run right and I would hate for it to die and me run into someone. I need some help.. only other option is going to the stealership?
