Slight jerking when in low rpms?

Alright when I am at a good cruising speed and the RPMs are at the usual 1500-1700 range and I go to give the truck a little gas but not enough to make the truck downshift and go higher in RPMs the truck literally JERKS. Kinda what a transmission slip feels like....however I am not shifting gears so I don't think its that. Now let me note....back in May I went down to Orlando and my throttle body went out on me half way down there and drove from Tally to Orlando with no 5th gear basically. I got a brand new one put in by Ford in Orlando. This has been going on for a while and to be honest can't remember if it was doing it before the throttle body change...I doubt it though...any ideas on it might being the throttle body or anything else?

5th gear in a 04? Is this a 4.6 in a Heritage with manual transmission?

Sounds like a low grade misfire - time for new spark plugs and/or coils.

Sounds normal to me.

That's what happens when you are lugging the motor at low rpm and put it under load without downshifting.

If it is worse than it used to be, a tune up as glc suggests may help. Don't forget the fuel filter, too.

If it is, and he can make it downshift by giving it more gas, Ford's outdone itself.

Then you have a 4 speed automatic - there's no 5th gear.

How many miles on your spark plugs?

Are you aware of the sticking and breaking issues, and the TSB for proper removal?
