Horrible grinding noise when starting engine

Once every couple of weeks when I go to start my 07 Supercrew 4.6 with 96,000 miles, the engine grinds really bad. It's just for a second or two while you're turning the key and it starts right up but it sounds awful. I just want to make sure something isn't getting ready to go bad on me. I have the extended 100K warranty that will be up in a few thousand miles and I want to know if I need to take it in to the dealership. It's a $100 deductible each time so I want to be sure I have a big problem before I take it in. Thanks.

I'd say it's worth taking in for $100. It sounds like either the starter or fly wheel. Maybe both.
