Electric Cooling Fan

I don't know if this is the right place for this. So move it if it's not.

But I'm going to be adding a Electric Cooling Fan to one of my truck it's a 2008 F150 FX4 with the 5.4L. I was wanting to know what size fan is in there? It's kind of hard to measure the fan on the truck. Also what would be the best fan for towing? A pusher or puller?

Do this - Advanced Search.

Note all the results.

Read the contents of said results.

There will also be links within those threads for various suppliers.

Puller - preferably TWO pullers. 16"
Two separate, redundant controlers for reliability.
Mark VIII fan is an alternative
NO cheap ebay crappola fans! PERIOD. ESPECIALLY if you plan on TOWING!
If you are not handy, in a hurry, and/or not electrically savvy, stay stock.

Do a search for the word Troyer. You'll be reading until Christmas. And your specific questions have been answered. But since we're here...

Your question should be fans, not fan. You will need two to to the job of the one stock mechanical fan. A puller fan is better in all conditions. Towing is irrelevant.

Also keep in mind (many people don't) there is no cooling capacity increase with e-fans...the stock mechanical fan/shroud combo is pretty darn efficient and hard to beat. The main reason for e-fans is removing that giant drag device off the front of the motor for increased HP.
