Ford & Yamaha collaborated on a V6 for the Taurus SHO a long time ago. Two cylinders were added to make a 4.4 liter V8 with a 60* V for Volvo.

I don't think Yamaha has anything to do with the 4.6 & 5.4 modular V8.

Refering tho the valve springs. At what rpm do these things float. I don't ever let mine shift out of first while floorboarding it. I don't like to reu tht many R's. I worry about the 1 , 2 shift point on mine. So let up to get it to shift.

It's gonna shift by itself before it hits the rev limiter, much less the redline or the valve float point. The torque converter limit is 5400, the engine should be good to close to 7 grand stock.
