have a 01 5.4 can i put a 99 5.4 in it

hey i have a 2001 5.4 in my truck it just blew up i bought a 99 5.4 thanking it was the same but i noticed the intake was diffrent can i just take eavrythang off my 2001 5.4 and put it on the 99 motor i realy need help hear

just change the intakes or keep the 99 intake it made of aluminum were as the 01 is plastic. If you swap them out I might give you $50 for that 99 intake..

ok but do u no if thats all i have to do or is eavrythang diffrent i just pulled the motor today il let u have that intake i have no needs for it i just wont to get my truck going

you might have some other minor stuff. I dont think the 01 has the remote oil filter so you'll wanta pick up the o-ring gasket kit for that and swap it. Pretty much a straight up swap. You have to pull the intake anyway to r&r the engine.

ok im going try and put it in this week i also wonted to no if the timing and everything was different because they use to different cam shaft sensors and crank shaft sensors what can i do about that just don't wont it to throw the computer off

its plug and play. you dont need to worry about any adjustment the 01 engine is for all purposes identical to the 99. instal the intake and maybe the oil filter stuff from your engine plug it all in and fire it up.

thanks man im going to put it togeter today i thank i mit take the cab off to put it back in because its a tight space and i wont to hook it all up like it was
