01 Screw Fuel Pump possibly bad?

Hey guys, on the way home today I was at about 1/8 of a tank and I heard a click and I had no power. I figured I wasn't out of gas because there was no sputter. So I had a friend bring me gas anyways, about 4 gallons. That didn't help, and my fuel read exactly E. Kind of looked like it was a default reading as if something wasn't getting a signal. So I found my intertia switch was tripped, and that didn't allow a start. Changed my Fuel Pump Relay out with the other same size relay in the fuse box and didn't help, checked all applicable fuses and none were blown. Last, I got some starting fluid and made sure I had spark. When I sprayed it the truck ran for about 5 seconds then choked out. So it seems I have a bad fuel pump, but I just want to make sure that that switch tripping wouldn't require something else besides just reseting it to allow my fuel pump to transfer again...

Any insights before I tow my truck to my house from where it's sitting on the side of the road?
