Driving with bad COP?

2003 4.6 F150

Will it hurt to drive my truck with a bad COP? I have ordered a new set and will replace them all when the arrive.

Thanks.

It can be rough on the cats - if it's a solid miss you may want to unplug the injector for that cylinder.

I wouldn't do it. It's not going to want to "go".

To expand a bit, you will dumping unburned fuel into the exhaust which makes the converter run really hot and you could burn it up. Unplugging the injector just makes it a dead cylinder. You can drive with the dead cylinder, it just will be a complete miss and run bad, but not doing any real damage.

I ended up driving it for a few hundred miles, but I'm not driving anymore until I get the parts to fix it.

How would I know if I burned up the cat?

I'd be more worried about how much you ended up washing down the cylinder wall

Depends, how bad is it ? Low misfire or is it dead ? If it's a low grade misfire, -reboot every 40 miles or so, she'll fire more after a fresh boot and misfire between 45 and 55 mph or right after she shifts into OD under normal acceleration.

If it's dead, unplug the injector.

But, - I wouldn't drive it, - if I didn't have to. It's definitely not good for it, -any way you look at it.
