Brake Booster Vacuum Hose Replacement

Hello all:

*2004 5.4 3v engine*

Does anyone here know if the brake booster vacuum hose can be replaced without a full dismantling of the engine? I believe I have detected a considerable vacuum leak on the driver side.

Any tips or suggestions?

Thanks.

There was a recall on the 05s for the hose and it took them about 20 min to do the switchout, but the engine had to be cool. The end on the intake was gotten to from underneath, I think. Had to reach up over to the back of the throttle body area. It is difficult but accessable.

I thought yesterday that you might have a vac leak.

I sure hope that is all it is...and that I can get to it!

Any words of advise on removing and re-installing the intake manifold?
