Bucking Lariat not fun...

Hi Folk,

My 01 screw is a 5.4 L, automatic 4x4. I've enjoyed the last 260K miles and am
looking forward to the next quarter million.

However, its developed a symptom that isn't cool. imagine cruising along at a constant
speed (legal limit for example). as with automatic drivers, i tend to press the gas pedal and as i start to climb above my desired speed back off, the speed drops and i press the gas gently again.

when i do press the gas pedal, it bucks a couple times like choking, then moves on fine.

no check engine light and i just had all 8 plugs replaced.

anyone got a suggestion what might cause this?

thx, jackc...

Same problem with mine, most people on here say it is an ignition problem, mostly the coil on plugs (cop's). The trick is to find the right on that is causing the problem.

I think my truck is having the same symptoms.
I press on the gas and it sometimes "skips a beat" If you say.

If you have 260k on the original coils, it's time to replace them. 80 bucks on Ebay.

I hope you used Motorcraft plugs.
