Have you tried fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank? Follow the instructions on the container. Also change the fuel filter.

The distributor has on the front of it a module that when it gets hot will cause an intermittent stumble. The module was the cause of a National Settlement orchestrated by Uncle Sammy. The TFI or Thick Film Ignition has been a major disaster for Ford and was used up to YM 1995. That's most likely the problem but the MAP sensor can also give you an intermittent stumble. Sometimes you can have a stumble like yours and no codes. You might end up having to throw some parts at it to fix it. My Bronco showed no codes and it ended up being both of the above.
