what would it take for this swap

search is not working for me at work!

I have an 01 with a 5.4 that I blew the motor on after 107k miles. I am fairly sure it was the oil pump that went out and i didnt notice until the motor seized up.
My question is can I swap a motor from a 05 and newer f150 in with out any changes? The junk yards I call say it cannot be done. IF not what would I need to change out for it to work? It is almost impossible to find a 5.4 for that year and when i do find it it has a butt load of miles. They say only a 98 to 2002 will fit.
Please help guys I'm trying to get this truck back on the road as soon as I can.
I wish I could put in a supercharged engine from a lightning or a harley truck but those are like hens teeth.

Nope, it won't work. These are the engines for direct swap, don't let anyone else tell you different lol. 99-03.

And this is where you go to find what you need. -

http://www.car-part.com/

Type in your Zip code and the site will find you one close to home. There's allot of 5.4L's with low miles out there, you just have to know where to look. Now you do

A lightning motor can be had just as easy, but that ones going to cost you. That can be done, you'll just need a tune.

I know they make a "bolt on" kit for the older 2v 4.6 mustangs to run a 3v in it but i don't know who sells it. Might be something to look into
