I got a 97 F150 with the 4.6L and it has bad head gaskets and the trans is doing that O/D blinking thing. The question is I have at my disposal a 2001 E150 with 21k miles on it. The trans is burnt up but wanted to see how much modding I would need to do to swap up to the 5.4L and rebuild one of the trans. (which one would be better patent) The trans. in the truck is 125K ...?

Any input will be helpful I've been told the bolt pattern on the blocks are the same to mount the tranny ...
