Does this seem like a misfire

a bad one or could it be something worse

when I step on the gas on the freeway or from a red light the rpms on my truck do not climb smoothly, around 2500 rpms to 4000 when I shift, the rpms seem to go up then stop for a second(or less, but its not long enough to notice if they drop though it certainly feels that way) then continue to climb and it will do this ever few hundred rpms. also I know that it is not the gauge cause I can feel like the engine power drops out then comes back

any idea

Sounds like it could be a misfire, or fuel delivery issue. When was the last tune up with plugs, coils, fuel filter, clean MAF or other sensors?

im having the same issue. and mine makes a kind of popping sound. thats the best way i can describe it. im coming up on 50k miles and havent done anything with the plugs or coils yet, fuel filter was done at 30k. gonna try clean MAF today and hope that helps, but do the pulgs and coils need to be done already? any help you guys can give would be great.
