O2 Sensor Question??

Have an 01 5.4 V8 4x4 with 179,XXX miles...

i have no clue if my O2's have ever been replaced.

Should i replace them or not? Would it effect anything?
And for someone that says "only if something is wrong with them"...How am i suppose to know if anything is wrong with them???

Thanks for the help and replys!!

I would say replace them. Wouldn't hurt anything. Most people don't know there's anything sluggish or lacking about their motor until they put new 02's in and it comes alive. How long have you had it? Hows the gas mileage?

Just make sure you use OEM replacements, if you do = Bosch.

And you only need to replace the front ones.
The back 02s don't do anything with the way the truck runs anyway.

Yea, my understanding is if you buy from the dealer, i.e. MotorCraft, you're getting Bosch. Rock Auto also has straight Bosch brand for a really reasonable price too. I may get those.

Motorcraft and Bosch are two different type parts of O2 sensors. Bosch were just used more OEM. Motorcraft O2's are more expensive than the Bosch O2 sensors are.

I think it was Justin who graphed the differences between the Bosch and Motorcraft at one time. The Motorcraft actually came out to be more stable, while the Bosch was fluctuating.
