my 150 super crew is not starting..

I was driving it, pulled into a business and it turns over but does not fire. I have a new battery and cables look good.

I finally got it to the shop they are saying possibly the fuel pump. Does that sound right? It is a 4.6L v8 with 2002 with 73k miles on it.

he also said it could have been a dirty fuel filter that caused the pump to go bad? does that sound right?

the sad thing is when I got out I found out that someone in a parking lot ran in the the side and took off. Until then it didn't have a scratch on it... I am so pissed...

Check the fuel pump inertia switch. It could have been tripped by the impact. It is behind kick panel on passenger side.

The impact was not that great and it did run after it happened... but I am not sure when it happened. The switch did not appear to be tripped. I pushed it in. but that does not say much.

Wasn't there some issues with corroding wires around the fuel pump module thingy.. LOL, sorry. Not sure what it was called but there were a few issues I think on these models. A little help please...

Either way, when your sitting in the car and turn the key to the on position....and list very closely you should be able to hear the fuel pump kick on. Makes a slight buzzing sound for about 1.5 seconds.
