Any auto store will stock them I am sure - autozone carries motorcraft parts where I live so I just asked for one. You'll need fuel disconnect tool, just get a cheap plastic one.

I meant do you know where on the truck I can find the fuel filter? LOL Thanks for that info though, I'll be getting the motorcraft one from autozone for sure. I need to buy a new Haynes but don't want to fork out another $25 for it. Thanks again.

It's clipped to the driver's side frame rail not far in front of the gas tank. Crawl under and you will see it.

Thanks, I'm gonna do that when I get off work. With the truck having approx 220,000 miles on it will I see any benefits from changing the fuel filter or is it just a normal part of maintance that should be done? I always do my own maintance on my truck and Jeep but have never changed the fuel filter on either of them.

I'm aliitle crazy about changing my fuel filter every other oil change along with rotating tires. But If you haven't changed the fuel filter in 220,000 miles it is plugged up for sure. Hope the fuel filter change remedies your problem. I would have guessed plugs first also, I had this issue but on a 5.4 and replaced plugs and coils and it went away. By the way impressive to have 220k, I have 152k and hope to make it to 250k

Well the plug change did fix the jumping and hesitation problem I was having. Sometimes I wonder though if I've just become accustomed to the way it runs, when in reality it could run a lot better. I'm going to start changing the fuel filter with every few oil changes that I do.

Yeah I think that milage is pretty impressive myself. Keep them taken care of and don't dog them and they'll usually keep on tickin. Same with my '98 Wrangler with 150,000 miles on it. :-)
