global or uneek supply are board member favorites. search dg508 in e-bay motors parts and you'll find lots of them they seem to be going for $80 a set of 8 these days.

Just as a heads up, I've had problems with Global. I ordered all 8...I had one bad right out of the box, and have had two additional ones go bad (one last week I posted about) in the pasts 20K miles or so. I also attempted to get the first one replaced under warranty in which I had major problems contacting Global, but that's another story, and drove me to not pursue getting the others replaced.

They're very expensive, and I've heard they go bad as well, BUT, next time I get/replace coils (and the next time I have one go bad I'm going to replace all 8 again) it will either be MSD's or MotorCraft lableled ones.

Not trying to stirr the pot or sling mud, just making sure you have adequate info. I am however the minority on guys who've had problems with Global.

FYI: - Motorcraft and Global coils come from the same supplier. Their GAMMA's and actually originate from an import export company in China.

Been told this, searched it out and made bench comparisons on the site.

If your you going to bash a product, get your info correct. As any electrical component -it's possible to get a bad part right out of the box. No one or no supplier rather can get away from what they have no control over. That just the facts. I've had to Yellow tagged Motorcrafts go bad within six months in the past, but have never had a one purchased from Global go bad.

Global does have larger sales numbers now, that said it's still rare to get a bad product from them. You definitely can't beat the price being that others jack up resale as much as 900% for the identical part.

There should be No complaints about Global Automotive. They have helped so many in the past with making it affordable to update our coils when the time comes.

Well said, It was a real pleasure to read a well rounded opinion. I like the way you stated your reply by not bashing or putting any product down and just giving your opinion.

By the number of your posts and your signature it appears you have been around the block a few times and know what youre' talking about.

It's great to have an open forum that we can all learn from.

You clearly need to reread my (unedited) post...I did not bash anything, and pretty sure I even stated my comments were not a mud slinging contest. Get my info correct???? Everything in my post was a fact!! No theories or unsupported information listed that I noticed.

I thnking I even said I was the minority with problems with Global...yep, just checked...that's what I said.

When I bought the set of 8 from Global, I kept all my known good, stock MC ones in the tool box. As my Globals have failed, I have been putting the old, original, MCs back on...and have yet to have a second failure past my very first (and only) MC coil. Funny thing is, due to the 80K miles at the time of the first failure, I decided to buy a set of 8 from Global due to cost and preventative maintenance. Some prevention, hu? But, getting tired of this and don't like my lack of confidence in the situation. I now keep one in the truck which I personally think is retarted I have to resort to this.

As I stated above, one more failure and I'm just going to swap out the whole lot again with MCs or MSDs one...even though yes, they can fail too. I'll risk it after my experiences thus far.

I know Globals Customer Service can suck, I was going to send you a couple if you were stuck waiting on them. I purchased the V10 package two winters ago, only used 8, so I have 2 still in their boxes.

I have about 50 Motorcrafts coils, -used, but I bet at least 40 of those are still good lol.

I have had one of my Global COPs go bad. I did not send it back as it would be a waste of $$ to send it from Canada. I wash the engine so I don't expect the coils to stand up to that.
