Engine Problems ??

Engine Problems ??

my 2004 Ford F150 5.4l Engine is Starting to Act up...whenever i start giving it Gas..it seems like it Shudders or Misfires...then when i have it in between 80 to 100 kms it shudders again and seems like it wants to Misfire..would anyone know what the reason this is happening to my truck..

You need a tune up.. Ever change the plugs? Could have a bad coil or 2. How many miles are on it?

there are about 170,000 kms on the motor..I bought the truck used and not really sure if they had been changed before..i guess i have to buy them expensive Plugs..25.00 a pop down here...and they told me it was 8 hours to change..

You can buy the plugs at rock auto.com for about $7.60 each and most dealers will install parts you buy elsewhere that will save you a $100 ask the dealer if you can do that. You wanta ask them there policy on broken plugs how much per broken plug and try to get a feeling for there level of expertise at removing the plugs with out breaking them. Dealer service departments that follow the ford tsb on plug removal seem to do much better..
