Car Engine For Truck Engine

Will a 4.6 or 5.4 out of a car work in place of a trucks engine as long as they are the same engine? Thanks for he help ahead of time!

Other than the Ford GT and the Mustang... not quite sure.

The 5.4 only goes in Australian cars and very expensive Mustangs... so we won't worry about that. As for the 4.6, you can use one out of a car. You need to change the valve covers, intake manifold and oil pan. If your truck already has a 6-rib belt setup, then you're good to go otherwise you'll need to change over some pulleys.

Cars only ever had the Romeo version of the 4.6, I believe, so if you have a Windsor in your truck there's some more work involved.
