ok so i know this has been covered numerous times previously but here it goes again lol .. i have an 01 f150 with the 4.6 . motor has over 200k and is history , found an 01 5.4 f150 motor with 85k (no computer or harness) need to know if the 4.6 and 5.4 computers jive until reprogrammed or will i need the 5.4 comp. and harness ? if possible id prefer to use what i have rather than hunting down the 5.4 goods .. also will the tranny bolt right up to the for now ? . the motor vin is an ( AA) vin . whether that makes a difference or not i havent a clue lol .

i do know the y pipes and exhaust are different and read in previous discussion that the wires may need to be extended if the 4.6 harness is used . so looking for some confirmation on some of these issues before i dive in . so bottom line is this a pretty straight forward nothing tricky swap ? id throw another 4.6 in to make life easy but cant find one for a decent price .. any help would be great . thanks ...
