bought a 06 xlt jan 23. have put less than 400 miles on it. this morning on the way to work it lost power and came back to power several times, engine light came on and then could only drive it about 40mph. took it to the ford garage came back with codes p0018, p0022 p0171, p0300, p0305, p0316, p2198. told me it could be a cam phaser$$$$$ or just the soliniod. freed up the solinoid and seems to be running better but not perfect. any opinions.

 

That just sucks. New truck and it's already giving you a headache. The cam phaser was the issue with the codes except the p2198. That code says that bank 2 O2 sensor is stuck rich. You'll probably need to replace the O2 sensor or if there is any warranty...... If you end up having to replace it, look thru the tech articles here and find the one for the O2 sensors. They really are not that hard to replace and the tools are a loaner at most parts houses.

 

how much would it cost to replace the cam phaser. he was 310 for the solenoid
