Anti-freeze leak rear right 4.6
Anti-freeze leak rear right 4.6
Hi all! Not new to the site but new to the name. My old e-mail is gone.
I have a rear right engine leak, and searched out in here but never found a good answer. I did awhile back find a post where someone listed the parts needed for the repair of the line under the intake, but can't find it now.
Does the intake need to come off for this repair?
Water pump need to come off?
I have'nt laid my eyes on the leak itself yet. But the anti-freeze is coming from the top of the engine, and coming down where the engine and trans come together. By elimination, i'm guessing it's that line, not the heater core.
Any advice for fixing this line would be great.
It's a 1998 4x4 4.6 auto with air.
Thanks, Kenney

there is a tube that runs under the intake that has a seal that fails thats probably your problem but the intake has to come off to find out for sure. runs out of the back of the water pump feeds to the heater core. One permanent fix I've seen for that is to put a hose over the seal and clamp it. Jbrew has pics if he sees this maybe he'll show them..
