I notice when ordering some parts for the 4.6L you need to specify if it is a windsor or romero. What is the difference, I have a windsor engine. Just wondering what is desinged different that parts have to made specific for each motor.

 

(W) Windsor has 13 bolts on one side and 14 bolts on the other side to bolt the valve covers on.
( R) has 11 bolts on each side.

I was just talking to my friend, he says that the windsor plant made both 4.6 and 5.4 but romero only made the 4.6L
