Remember, the more they dig into the cause of failure on the original motor, you are clocking diagnostic fees at the shop rate. Are the diagnostic charges in the quoted price??

 

If the serpentine belt hasn't been removed as others have suggested, I would definitely check that out. But I would be standing right there beside the truck when I first told them to do it, otherwise they probably wouldn't admit they were such fools.
