head question
does anyone know the cfm intake / cfm exhaust numbers on a non pi head for a 2v 4.6 long block?
has anyone ever done their own porting? gasket matching? hard? good gains? pi heads? non pi heads?

NPIs @ .500" = 156 / 117
PIs @ .500" = 156 / 133
SVOs @ .500 = 193 / 140
I port matched and polished the SVOs on my truck. I'm not sure what the gains were. It is enjoyable work, but nerve racking as mistakes are not easily forgiven.
If you can stand the compression increase it makes more sense to buy a set of PIs that have been professionally ported and polished.
