oil pressure drop

After warm oil pressure will drop only in drive and has only done while at 40mph or higher speed. engine light codes came back cam shaft sensor and actuator on both banks of engine. Any ideas? Pretty sure this may be and engine change.

Fill your info in, this is offered when you join, we don't know what you drive, could take a good guess. - Post Model year/ Engine size.

The oil pressure "gauge" is a mechanical on/off indicator. Either replace the pressure switch (which fail frequently) or hook up a real pressure gauge to perform a real test of your engine's oil pressure.

Also, change your oil and make darned sure it's 5W20 that goes in there. Other weight oils will screw up the VCT solenoid's function and cause camshaft timing problems.

Post your exact fault codes. It's pretty common for non-technical people to jump to wrong and very expensive conclusions.
