For the past month Truck has been getting worse. Some times it sounds like it sucks a lot of air and its being held back (? Cats ? ) Engine lite has gone on a few time . but once I get going it turns off and truck feels fine. Truck feels like it bogs down when I accel. at low speeds.

Cam Phaser is also ticking and getting louder.

*Cleaned K&N filter
*Cleaned MAF
*Replaced fuel filter
*Replace plugs at about 115,000 .(I have 144,00 now)

What should I be looking for?

 

what plugs did you use and what gap????

 

Good ? I had dealer do the plug . Was a grt improvement.

 

Go get the codes read.

 

my truck is doing the same, i redone the plugs and everything, about 8k miles later, engine light comes on and the code read that it was my EGR valve, needs to be cleaned, but i cant get that thing off to save my life....plus there's rly no FRICKIN ROOM! to work with...lmao

 

whats the exact code? could be DPFE. That usually really the EGR code.

 

My check engine lite come and goes. It`s off now ,truck feels fine but my mpg is crack . Next is a visit to the dealer.

 

Well if you go get the codes read they should be in history or pending still.
