Another engine swap...

Alright so my 89 f150 currently has a pretty hot carbed 302 in it. Completely built has to run on 110 octane for the thing to run right. The truck used to be a 6 cylinder truck. Well now my intentions have changed for the truck. I want to make it my daily driver now. I have the chance to by a 302 H.O out of a 89 mustang. Wiring harness included but without computer. I can get it all for 250$. The guy says the engine runs good supposedly. But how hard would it be to incorporate this wiring harness into my truck? What all is it going to take?

i'd get a 5.0 from a truck or change the cam to something that will work well with a truck and get the truck intake. the mustang engine is made for higher rpm power. i'd personally go for a stock 5.8.
as far as the wiring harness goes, i dont know how much length difference there is between the truck and car harnesses. if you use the 5.0 ho you will need the pcm, and maf too and the firing order is different from the truck so you'll need to make sure you route the wires properly.

if it's a race truck, town truck only, then go for it, it'll run real good...

I'd get the 5.8.
