COP Bolt

The bolt on my #2 cylinder COP just spins and spins. It does not tighten or loosen. Ive tried applying pressure with a screw driver while loosening and i still cant get it to come out. Does the bolt thread into a helicoil? What does it thread into? Do I have to drill the head off to get the coil out and try to yank it out?

That bolt runs thru the coil bushing, all coils should be loose on this bushing and free to move from side to side, - (keeps them from stress cracking). Still , yours is stripped. Most likley your going to have to grind the head off / remove the coil and go from there. Once the coil is removed , it will be easier to deal with.

Just remeber when bolting the coils back down, -don't over torque them , it's easy to do. Coils ride on their bushings .

Take the intake off and use Locktite from the underside, outter side of the bushings. Did this on a friends truck and it took care of it.

That what I was thinking. I REALLY hope i dont have to take off the entire intake. That would suck!
