Need to ask for your help. I own a 2004 F150 XLT Lariat 4X4 V8 5.4L SOHC, and today I notice the "check engine" light, I purchase the innova OBD2 tool at a local Walmart and it gave me the error code:


P0453 Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor/Switch High Input

Now my mechanics expertice is equivalent to know how to use a 1/2 wrench to open a beer, so the explanation that I have found on the manual is not that clear to me. Can any one tell me your ideas on what could be the reason for this?

Just to make sure it's shooting the right code, is the scanner "CAN" compliant?

Good question, looking for the specs on the web page it say "New ISO 15765 / C.A.N. Protocol" (http://www.canobd2.com/Products/Tool...6-0824a43272d1), so I am assuming it is. Any other scanner brand you recommend that can be purchase in Texas?...
