engine miss p0306

I need help please. I have an 01 supercrew 4x4 with the 5.4L. I just bought it last week and I love it. Today I was driving home and the engine started running real bad...I mean horrible. I wasn't sure I was gonna make it home. The CEL never came on but I checked for codes anyway. P0306 is what I got. I know that is a misfire on cylinder 6. Which cylinder is 6? And how hard is it to change the cop on that one? Do I have to remove anything to get to the cop? Any advice would be most helpful. This is the first Ford I have owned so I am new to working on these. I do know the plugs were replaced about 6 months ago so I am assuming it is the cop.
Thanks, Kevin

2nd one back drivers side. Assume the truck has its original plug and coils. Get the coils off e-bay (65 for a set) and order plugs at rock auto. motorcraft only. Spend a day putting them on. What kind of plugs are in there? How do you know the were really replaced 6 months ago when you just ought it last week? Modular engines are very picky about the plugs. I'd just change them and be done with it. Make sure to lube the coil boots with dielectric grease and install the plugs torqued to 28 lbs no anti seize..

A friend is getting the same code, for cylinder 2 (P0302), but having different problems.

Here is what has been happening lately: on short trips the car seems to not want to start after being driven a short while. on trips where she is at one spot for a while (school, work) it starts fine after sitting, but if she drives to the store down the street and runs in real quick the car won't start. today on her way home from work the car was vibrating real bad and the check engine light came on so she went straight to auto zone and got the code scanned (P0302) and now the car is still sitting there because it won't start again. now we can go back in about an hour and it will start just fine. any ideas?

Would a bad COP cause this starting issue?
