fuel filter change now bad mileage

I Changed my fuel filter last weekend, and the hesitation I had stopped.
But now my gas mileage dropped like a rock....drove 50 miles and it took 1/4 of gas.

I know we are using"Cheap-o winter blend gas" here in seattle, but this is bad. I am Now thinking Stuck fuel injector(s). Also I am NOT using the defrost in my truck.

Please help

thanks inadvance

If you had a stuck injector it would be acting as if it is flooding. Stuck injectors, you don't want to mess around with. It will hydrolock in a hurry.

You'll know when one gets stuck open. Mine ran so bad I had to pull over and have it towed to the dealer. Threw a p0175 code, IIRC. The dealer tried to start it the next morning and SNAP, broken rod. Gas had leaked past the stuck injector while the truck was sitting and hydrolocked the cylinder. When they tried to start it a rod broke. I ended up getting a new short block, and one injector. I had the other 7 replaced for peace of mind. Prior to the injector failure I was getting average mileage and the truck was running perfectly fine.

wow snapped rod.... just goes to prove how well built these diesels are.... often the cylinders get hydrolocked from oil when doing glow plugs, or antifreeze when replacing the egr cooler... You never kno wuntil you turn the key and the starter grinds, but havent broke a rod yet... you can rotate the engine backwards by hand 4-5 times and valve overlap will push all the fluid out
