Anybody have experience with these:

or any other replacement coil and experience mileage or performance increases? My brother is getting misfires on two cylinders after plug replacement so we will be replacing them. Any suggestions on what to replace them with and where to get them? Thanks for the help!

There a wast of 400 bucks in my opinion!

He has a 3V Phil, I think those run 511's. Anyway, - WeaponX has been around for about a year, I don't know of any users that has tried them yet, -so no Data.
Global Auto, an ebay store sells 3V coils I believe; and at a good price. That's all you need IMO.
But, you may want to determine coil failure first. The 06 has had many injector problems in the past.

Multiple discharge stops at about 3000 rpm. Any faster and the coil cannot recharge in time. Ford uses multiple discharge from the factory. These coils will sit in the plug well and will endure increased heat from that and the fact that they sit directly on the plug. All the shìt that falls into the plug well and fouls the boot will now directly affect the coil. As jbrew mentioned $400.00 is wasted. I can buy 5 sets of COPs for my truck at that price. I wonder how many miles 5 sets will last for........

Before you go replacing cops, what plugs did he go with? From what I have read and heard only run the OE motorcraft or you run huge chances of misfires.

I have the older Motoblues the weaponx's replaced them probably the same manufacture. I agree waste of money buy the cheap e-bay coils. The only really good thing about them is the boots are much better.. Dont expect a noticeable diference in performance
Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm not sure which plugs so I will get back on that. I think the plan is to replace the COP's with the suggested ebay seller and also replace the injectors and hopefully be done with it. Maybe a throttle body as a Ford service rep recommended that also. It is getting around 8 miles to the gallon which is horrible! Any suggestions on where to buy injectors is also greatly appreciated.
I thought it was 05's and some early 06's that had the injector issues on the 5.4L 3V???
05 was the warrantied year but there are a bunch of 06's showing with bad injectors, not only all early 06's.

I think these injectors may have been covered but either way it has 133,000 miles on it so as I understand it...they won't be covered any longer. He just bought the truck with that many miles and the gas mileage is bad. I'll still take suggestions on where to get new injectors. The plugs were replaced with Motorcraft originals. Thanks again for all the help.
Hopefully the MOCO will step up and warranty the 06's but that's wishfull thinking!
They should, it's a big problem. My neighbor has an 06 Expy that's been in 3 times for the same problem. She's not sure if it was the injectors, but it was misfiring everytime it went in.
