code 5284 ?

code 5284 ?

5.4 with a code of 5284 and d262 any ideas what they are and how to fix them. thanks fo the help

Sounds like you used a tuner to read those bogus codes.

Back-up time...

That code is one you get while screwing around with the instrument cluster's Dealer Test Mode and the engine isn't running, causing a false DTC that says you have no oil pressure (duh!).

The 99 must have a digital odometer, wasn't sure. Man, I know there's at least one or two sequences you can run thru. To test or reset something, yea , I think one is to reset ? PATS maybe? I can't remember.

Actually the engine was running, and if that was the case why didn't it come up before? And if i wanted a retarded answer i would of went to the dealer thanks.
