4YR/48K extended warranty
4YR/48K extended warranty
I just bought the Platinum extended warranty from Interstate www.inds.com for about $2500 after some negotiating with one from my credit union. With 69K on this truck right now, I hope it made sense. After I see all these clutch pack, HVAC, and power controls going out on this forum, I thought I'd take out some insurance!
We'll see how it goes between now and 118K miles! (It doesn't kick in until 30 days and 1000 miles.)

It's all a cr@p shoot in buying any used vehicle... I bought my truck 8 years ago with 62,000 on it "AS IS". Didn't even consider getting a warranty..
Trucks now got over 203,000 miles on it without any issues what so ever. Heck, I think the truck is just "Broken in" now!
I have seen commercials on TV where they are offering extended warranties for vehicles with over 250,000 miles on them!
I guess they are making so much money on warranties they don't have to pay out on that they are looking for even more people!
Nothing wrong with getting them... Just make sure you fully understand what is and what isn't covered and any other fine print you see on the contract! You are basically betting that something will happen during your covered period and they are saying you won't..
Good luck either way!
