Drain the oil out and do it right - then get the codes read. When the CEL comes on, trouble codes will be stored in the computer.

If that's all true you need to be at that shop enforcing them to fix "EVERYTHING". Also document everything that happened, get names of managers, employees and call the company cooperate office and file a complaint and once your done with that get an est from local delaership for fix and contact a lawyer.

Personally I wouldn't do anything just in case something tragic happened you wouldn't be held responsible. If you needed to get back on the road, pull the oil filter and drain plug and let it sit for awhile to get all oil out, re-top it and see if it fires up.

idk about this, any moron knows you cant put that much oil in a motor, theres a quick lube in town that the downstairs guy drained the transmission fluid and came up to fill up the motor, and after he pumped about 5 quarts in the ENTIRE motor was full of oil and it over filled all over the top of the motor and made a huge mess,

i dont think 12.5-13 quarts would fit in one of these motors,,,,would it?

either way i hope your not driving this truck with that much oil.

did you see them "not drain" the oil? are you sure they filled it up, maybe they were puttin on a show and didnt actually put anymore oil in,

idk this just sounds crazy to me

ANY moron? You obviously haven't met enough of the morons out there!
This is why you should always check your oil level after having someone do an oil change (as well every week or so). It's sad that something so simple could get screwed up, but it does happen. The F150 is one of the most popular vehicles out there and I'm still really surprised how many shops seem to be in the dark when it comes to servicing them. I don't know if being ASE certified means much anymore because I've been disappointed on too many occasions and now do all I can myself. No disrespect to any of the stand-up mechanics out there.

Just out of curiosity... and you don't have to mention names... what type of place did you go to for this oil change?
