help me with my alternator

i put in a new alternator today and now the gauges go crazy. truck runs fine but the gauges are going all over the place.any help is awesome.

help can be achieved... but only if we know a year...a model... and an engine....

why is this such a hard concept to understand????

are they sweeping on start up or all the time?

If it sweeps on start up that is an indication your battery is dead, or your battery terminals are corroded

it is a 1997 f150 xlt with a 4.6

the water temp is the only one not working i think. it goes all the way to hot at start up. it seem like the rest of the are working.

you have a bad connection. recheck all connections.

yea check all your wires...make sure they are connected right
