not many here. There have been reports of Champion failures so most people have been going with motorcraft..

I'm using the Champ 7989's. Although I only put them in 1500 miles ago, I see absolutely no change in performance. Engine runs great. Gapped them at .045 ".

The Motorcrafts last extremely well in our engines and the only problem being the extraction of the original set for the 2004s to early 2008. If you already have them out, why not go back with the Motorcrafts after coating the shank with nickel anti-seize? Problem solved. You get another 100,000 trouble free miles.

Update: changed the boots before my trip. Trip went off without a hitch.2500 miles, 47 hours 122 gallons used, 20.4 mpg for the entire trip. Some of the tanks were almost 22 mpg. I was loaded down pretty heavy, 3 large adults including an 18 year old who is bigger than he should be, the bed FULL of stuff, this truck has always surprised me how good the gas mileage is, even when loaded down. Did about half the trip in tow/haul mode because of the weight and wanting engine braking down grades.

Truck runs much better than it did before I changed the boots and plugs, but it still does it sometimes when accelerating, guess for now i'm living with it.

Yes I always use the motorcraft plugs and on any of these trucks and the newer vehicles i put new boots on as well. With antiseize on the plug and some dielectric grease on the boot. Will keep your coils lasting longer.
