I believe there are two stock alternators. One has a 90 amp output and the other a 130 amp output.
I'm pretty sure the 90 amp came on trucks without power windows, locks and mirrors. The 130 amp came on trucks that had power accessories and those trucks that came with a tow package. So it depends on what you have.
Yes, there are aftermarket alternators with higher outputs. For example a quick check of the Advance Auto Parts site shows they sell a performance one with a 200 amp output for $380. It's probably cheaper from somewhere else though, and there are higher quality ones. Just do a google search for them.
