Broken plastic under the intake?

I have a bad miss in #4 and #7 so i am replacing the plugs and putting in 8 new global COP's. Before i started i washed the engine off, it was filthy.

Anywho i removed the stuff to access the left bank and noticed some broken plastic pieces under the intake. there were alot of pieces on both sides, it is black and very brittle. i assume it is just a shroud of some kind and it really isn't important.

Also, while doing the tune up i guess i could clean the TB and replace the filters. The truck has 125K and i haven't really done any maint except fluids and brakes.
Any other things i need to do?

Broken Plastic -Its a sound insulator, you don't need it. It's like a jacket that raps the lower intake. They fall apart after awhile.

Make sure you blow out all your connectors well, before you install the new coils.
