possible Triton engine plug blow-out cause/prevention
.Justin @ VMP tested O2 sensors in the past, ONELOWF gave me the link, but I can't seem to find it, anyway Justin compared the OEM Bosch sensors to the Motorcraft brands. There's a graph showing Bosch O2 sensors as sort of being all over the map, where the Motorcraft brand was the opposite and stable in comparison. The graph pointing out how much BETTER the Motorcraft sensors are.
Well, my originals are Bosch, - but I'm thinking about trying the Motorcraft for the heck of it,-now..- Their a little pricey tho :o ..
Use Motorcraft plugs, NO antiseize, and torque to 28 ft/lb. The only repair better than a Timesert without pulling the head is the service from the guys at www.blownoutsparkplug.com.
Why no antiseize? It can be a contributing factor to loosening, and Motorcraft spark plugs have nickel-plated threads, which are designed to go into aluminum heads dry.

It's partly what you believe in and part how your set up. I believe plugs begin to wear @ 60 thousand regardless. If your running an intake and exhaust without a custom tune, your lean and this will shorten your plugs life significantly.
Norm needs to get off his *** and change his plugs

Ford says 100,000 miles, so it's up to you, -if she's running well, getting fair mileage, why mess with it?
When you do change them, just do a good job,- take your time and don't worry so much about them blowing out. Their still in their right? Your okay.
